To Control broad spectrum fungi, use a turf fungicide as needed throughout the late Spring and Summer seasons.
For control of insect pests, apply Triazicide, Sevin or Diatomaceous Earth. For control of grubs, consider Dylox 24hr Grub Control. Use as directed during late Spring and Summer. Milky Spore is long lasting, pet safe alternative
- Lawns with traditionally strong infestations of crabgrass, apply product two times, 60 days apart at the recommended coverage
- For broadleaf weed prevention, apply a lawn weed preventer with Gallery, during February or March. This prevents the germination of weeds such as dandelion, clover, chickweed and plaintain.
- New School Theory is to apply crabgrass and/or broadleaf preventers in late Fall after Fall seeding has germinated for 6 weeks or 2 cuttings of the new growth
- Milorganite for quick safe green up. For starting new seed or sod, 12-18-8 JB Green Up for seeding and sodding
